Requirement: 10 years or older (no one under 10 allowed to
play.
No exceptions). It is important that all players are mature
and understand the importance of following the safety rules at
all time. Waivers: Everyone must have a signed waiver that is completely and legibly filled out. Those under 18 must have a parent sign the waiver prior to playing. All players must also sign the safety rules sheet and view and understand the safety speech. Clothing: You must wear running shoes or boots. No flip-flops or sandals. We recommend long pants and long sleeve shirts (baggy for best results). You may want to wear shorts and a t-shirt underneath for added padding or to take off your outer garments prior to driving home. Paint: It is biodegradable and washable. "Hits" are normally the size of a quarter or half-dollar so it is not like painting a house. However, you will get dirty running through the woods and active play. But, you should be able to wash your clothes in a normal washer/dryer. Ouch? Playing paintball can "smart" if you take a direct hit. We do have a 15 foot surrender rule to help reduce the potential of up-close shots. Out of a group of 10 or so, a few may come home with a nice whelp or two - a trophy for most. Getting hit with a paintball is described as "getting hit with a wet towel." You may want to wear paintball gloves or a bandanna around your neck to protect open skin. Boys may want to consider wearing an athletic cup for added protection.

Game Length: On
average, games last between 5 and 9 minutes. Once a player
is hit one time, he/she is called "out" for the game and must
enter into the wait zone until the next game. The number
of games played during an hour really depend on the personality
of the group and how much they want to play. Paint Consumption: Rental players typically shoot between 100 and 150 paintballs per hour. If a player shoots between 25 and 30 shots per game - only when they can hit someone - they will have plenty of paint for most packages. Some find it difficult to control their trigger finger and paint every tree in the forest. In this case, the paint will go very, very quickly. Referees? Every game must have and will have a referee. At Xdrenalin™ Zone, we require all referees to be at least 16 years of age. For smaller groups, you may "upgrade" to a private referee for an extra fee. Or, the Xdrenalin™ Party Packs include a private referee (this means you play privately, only against each other). Can I rent a field? The private referee affords you a private experience. You will go from field to field vs. staying on one field for the entire day. This makes your play more challenging and ensures that all players are able to play on all courses. How are teams set? We organize teams, based on referee judgment and the type of equipment the player has. We do not separate teams based on age as a young player can often overpower an older player. If a team of beginners includes an experienced player, the experienced play MUST play down and not overshoot or rotate the entire group to the next level. The referees judgment stands on the qualification of the player. |
Private Equipment? We do allow customers to bring in their own equipment and paint if they purchase the paint from our store, one of our affiliated retailers or discount stores (see pricing for complete list).
